Our country subsidiary AGT Niger was founded in August 2016. Its headquarter is in the capital Niamey. Almost 80 % of Niger's 23 million inhabitants live in rural areas. Large fields for growing millet, beans, peanuts and various vegetables stretch between the settlements. Herds of cattle graze on the pastures in between. The country thrives on agriculture, with nearly half of its GDP coming from agricultural products.
Our holistic ImpactSite is ideally suited to empower farmers in these rural communities, increase their yields, and better manage the impacts of climate change. Back in 2017, we opened our first ImpactSite in Niger. We are currently expanding our team in Niger and working on the implementation of new projects.
